Furnishing Trends from Las Vegas Market

We recently got back from a successful trip to Las Vegas for the Winter Las Vegas Market - a trade-only event where hundreds of furnishing vendors display their latest offerings. We sourced for a couple projects and discovered new to-the-trade vendors to incorporate in our designs and offer to clients. It's an exhausting, whirlwind experience, but Market is very important because it gives us the opportunity to see the quality of items in person, establish relationships with vendors, and keep a pulse on the trends and products that are upcoming. Over two days we walked many, many miles, took hundreds of pictures, and visited almost 50 different vendors.

Here's our take on the overall themes and the trends that will stick around. These are quick cell phone snaps that definitely don't do the furnishings justice. If you see anything you're interested in, we'd be happy to source it for you, reach out here.

Arches

Arched mirrors, arched bookcases, arch details on pieces - arches are definitely still having a moment and adding interest in a fun way.

Dark wood

It was great to see darker wood tones, and a variety of wood tones. We've been loving white oak too, but we're excited to see medium and even very dark/black wood tones coming back. Mixing wood tones definitely makes a room feel more curated.

Detailing on case goods

This is a big one we've been noticing lately, and it was all over Market! We saw a lot of interesting pattern and fluted details on casegoods that make pieces feel more special and unique. We're here for it!

Neutral colors and natural elements

Black and white, neutrals, and earth tones seemed to take over every showroom we visited. We still saw a lot of texture too - think wovens and leather.

Big lamps

Big lamps are a newer trend we're seeing, and we're into it as long as the space and furniture item it's sitting on have the right scale. And a note on scale, this is one of the biggest reasons why a space can feel "off" so it's definitely important to get right.
